Best places to move

Moving can be a life altering decision for most people especially if you're moving to a different country. It is much easier if you're shifting from one state to another. If deciding the choice of city is causing you worries then do not fret. For we have listed down here some of the best cities you can settle down in the U.S.

Some of the most popular places include:
  • New York
  • Portland
  • Austin
  • Nashville
  • Dallas
However, even before you decide on a place, it is essential to find a good quality mover in the city of choice. That will save you a lot of time and hassle in getting things organized.

New York is undoubtedly one of the most power-packed, energetic cities in the U.S. It has a pace of its own that seems to attract people every year. With a busy night life and plenty of rich and famous people living here, it can be the right place for you if you're looking for a fast paced lifestyle.

Portland boasts of a much higher cost of living as compared to other cities in the U.S. However what makes this place such a popular moving spot is its lovely summer season which is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activities, a laid back lifestyle and friendly people.

Austin is another haven for people who're planning on moving because of the sheer cosmopolitan mix of people and cultures. It is a hub of art, music, museums etc. with plenty of scenic beauty, hills, lakes and rivers. It also boasts of great weather all year round.

Nashville always conjures up images of old cowboy charm, ranches and the typical southern drawl. It reminds you of country music and romance. However it isn't just restricted to country music, it also has rock n roll and symphony. It has various cultures such as Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean etc. With its friendly people, beautiful scenery and diverse entertainment, Nashville is a great place to move to.

Dallas boasts of some of the best roads in the U.S., loads of shopping centers, restaurants, good quality education institutes and above all, a booming economy. It also has beautiful suburban countryside along with lovely mountains. Dallas offers a mix of the modern and old fashioned and all modern amenities suitable for settling down.

If you're the romantic type these cities may prove to be better places for you - Pittsburg, Salt Lake City, Providence, Hartford, Minneapolis, Houston and Rochester.

Finding the right school

Very often your city of choice will depend on the school of your choice. The experience of moving is always especially tough for children and changing schools even more so. To make the transition easier, you need to asses your child's strengths and weakness and also find out their needs in a new school. Try and do as much research as possible on the schools in the city of choice, the facilities they provide, the quality of education, faculty etc. Also find out if the entrance admission process is too tough or is fairly easy to get through. You might also want to take pictures of the schools, classrooms and the school children to help your child make a better decision on which school they may want to go to.
